Alfa Laval in Ronneby is one of four factories where we produce various types of heat exchangers for customer applications such as heat pumps, air conditioning, cooling of Data Centers, district heating, and oil cooling.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Quality Engineer, you are responsible for developing quality, that is, strengthening our ability to deliver according to agreed customer requirements. The customers are large, global companies that are world leaders in their industries, making quality work both business-critical and developmental.

You will lead or be involved in cross-functional projects and activities that cover the entire chain from suppliers to customers. An important part of the role is to analyze quality deviations, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure that decided actions have a long-term effect.

You will work with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), i.e., structural quality assurance of products and processes, both in administration and manufacturing. This means that you will be involved early in the development phase to prevent risks and ensure robust solutions.

You will also act as quality support in the industrialization of new products and new production equipment, as well as contribute with expertise in design, measurement, and similar areas. The role involves close collaboration with production, where you contribute to strengthening quality awareness and creating structure in work methods and follow-up.

In this role, you will among other things:

  • Work proactively with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), i.e., structural quality assurance of products and processes, both in administration and manufacturing.
  • Support design, FMEA, control plans, and capability studies
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers
  • Drive and follow up investigations of any quality deviations
  • Conduct root cause analyses and ensure sustainable actions

Your Profile

You are a person with integrity, responsibility, and customer focus. With your communication skills, you engage and inspire your colleagues.

You are flexible and appreciate that days do not always look the same, as you are fundamentally structured and meticulous. To thrive in the job, you should have a combination of interest in production processes with specialist skills related to the products and quality.

The role requires that you have a university degree in mechanical engineering or have acquired equivalent competence through relevant education and/or work experience, and you are expected to be fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English.

Experience in quality work in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage.
